In the pursuit of encouraging kids to get outdoors, I was pumped when I learned my 3 1/2 year-old granddaughter was emulating her grandparents climbing mountains or as she says “climb mountaining“. This is especially super cool now that she lives 800 miles away. This blog now is one way to stay connected and hopefully foster a future backpacking partner, don’t you think?

What a cute picture. It is obviously exciting to learn that you are making an impact on her thinking already. “Mountaining”, something most kids know nothing about. Keep up the good work Grandma.
