Zero in Lone Pine

Saddle up your horses, we’ve got a trail to blaze.
-The Great Adventure by Steven Curtis Chapman

Yep, it was another very satisfying zero. I am well-fed, showered (twice), groomed, clothes clean including my pack, resupplied for 4 days of food, and ready to hit the trail (Whitney Portal) very early in the morning.

What a fantastic adventure you three let us share with you. Thank you so much for all the fabulous pictures and journal entries. Waiting for it to continue!!

  3. Here I am trying to lose a few and you post a breakfast like that! Yummy in your tummy! 🙂

  4. DANG! as if the High Sierra Route wasn’t enough, let’s go back and do the High Sierra Trail over a mere 4 days including the climb up the 99 switchback portal trail.

  5. Just you or all 3?
Yay I thought it was over
I dont want this to end as it’s my vicarious journey as
I sit with my factured ankle up.(hurt in lone pine).
Not that I could do what you 3 are doing. So awesome!

Oh, do you know anyone that wears and likes those shoes that has bunions?

    Happy trails

      Debbie,
Wishing you fast healing. I am not sure about shoes that go well with bunions. I do know styles that have a wide toe box with mid sole support would be helpful.

We all 3 are heading to Wyoming now to hike through the Wind River Wilderness area.

  6. Off you go! I like the way you phase out gradually! Heartfelt thanks for the fabulous photos and the interesting dialogue. I’m full of serenity and inspiration.

  7. I think your breakfast is smiling at you!
