I go to the mountain to hear their glad tidings.

15 miles
Well…I could just give a picture walk of the day. In this fine day’s case it would be totally appropriate. The 15 mile day lead us over Mulkey, Trail, and Cottonwood Passes. We skirted Trail Peak, Cirque Peak, and enjoyed views of Mulkey, Horseshoe, and Big Whitney Meadows and completed the day with a quick (very quick) swim in Chicken Spring Lake! I am blessed!
Thank you for reading my journal!
Gear and food favs:
Granite Gear Vapor Ki backpack – this pack is comfortable, fits a lot of gear including a bear canister, and to top that off it only weighs 2 pounds!!!!
Lipton’s tomato cup of soup or just about anything after 11 days in the back country
Love your journal! Well written, and I’m re-hiking those parts of the trail as you describe them. Thanks!
It has been an amazing year! Thanks for the compliment. It has been so much fun writing. You need to see the Sierras this year. Everything is unique. Going in Kearsage would be perfect, easy trail head. I will give you a call at the end of this week.

Wow, amazing pics! How glorious! Love your journal and am so glad you’re having such a great time. We made it San Jose and will host mom’s party tomorrow. Had a wonderful dinner with brothers, their families and 2 cousins tonight.
Keep on rockin’!
Much love,
Leslie
