All the whining in the last couple of posts had to stop! It was a great move to rest up at the Roosevelt Marina.
I am thankful for:
-A body that recovers quickly.
-A beautiful sunrise over Roosevelt Lake.
-Cool breezy weather, the entire day.
-Beautiful well-maintained trail with switchbacks.
-Meeting kind hikers.
-Traveling through a once beautiful and now charred, Four Peaks Wilderness.
-All the views!
-Having a large rock to hang on to while trying to stand up in gusty wind. I was fine, but my straw hat did not fare well. It now has gapping holes.
-Finding a safe place to pitch my tent tonight in a burned forest.
-My warm, cozy sleeping bag
Your straw hat now has “character”! Wear it proudly.
When you share your gratitude with us, it helps us be grateful too. Learning together is what we all need.
Thank you for the reminder about gratitude. It has a wonderful way of lifting us out of ourselves and seeing our circumstances from a different perspective.
I’m enjoying seeing an area I don’t know much about. “Go out with joy and be led forth in peace”
If I send you an empty bottle will you fill it with your immense optimism and return it to me ASAP?
Thank you for taking me along on your adventure! Beautiful pictures! Safe travels.
I see more beautiful photos. And I love your smiley face in the snow picture. Be careful in those burned areas with the loose rocks, debris, etc. Glad you found some other hikers.
