Advice from a Saguaro. Stand tall. Reach for the sky. Be patient through the dry spells. Conserve your resources. Think long-term. Wait for your time to bloom. Stay sharp.

Hwy 83 to Ricon Creek (edge of Saguaro National Park) – 20 miles – AZT mile 126.5
Your photos remind me of our visit to the Sonoran Desert Museum near Tuscon last winter. The desert environment is so interesting to a NW rain forest dweller like me, but I’ll never go there in the summer – can’t take the heat.
Pretty photos! I’m not sure I realized saguaros were quite that enormous! Also, on a completely unrelated note, we have the same Buff 🙂
Loving your desert photos. Watch for rattlesnakes! Be safe!
I’m thoroughly enjoying this! Hiking amongst the Saguaros isn’t something I’ve really ever considered but it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Love the advice from a Saguaro! So now I’m really thinking I should hike the AZT…thanks and stay cool!
The green bark trees are Palo Verde trees. Aren’t they cool?
And the Saguaros are so beautiful too. I love hiking through them. It’s like a hillside of beautiful friends.
