Baby Blue Eyes

How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!
~John Muir

Last Saturday I attempted to climb my favorite training ground, Tehachapi Mountain, and was faced with high winds, steep terrain, and deep snow. Today is different. The rain, clouds, and cold all are but a distant memory. Nestled in the grass beside my driveway I spotted our first mountain wildflower of the season, Baby Blue Eyes.

  1. Those are so beautiful. I even see Brownie in the background. Guess spring is really arriving.

    • Yes, Brownie (our dog) is lovin’ the warm sun and of course wants to be part of everything. Unknowingly, I took this shot with the super happy, trailblazer lab cruising through. That is just why I like it! 🙂
