My LX5

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

The LX5 Heart
Valentine’s Day greeted me with a new piece of gear… the Panasonic Lumix LX5. I am excited to experiment and have fun taking photos with this cool new little camera. To get a head start, I uploaded the Kindle version the Panasonic Lumix LX5: Getting the Most from Panasonic’s Advanced Digital Camera on my i Phone using the Kindle app. The LX5 camera guide is now at my fingertips where ever I am. How cool is that? I also visited dpreview.com forums to get suggestions on camera settings. This camera is loaded with manual setting options for both video and stills. The camera case I bought is the Lowepro Classified 50. It is a bit bulky and I would prefer a case that sits the camera horizontal on a backpack hip belt, not vertical. I would sure welcome any case suggestions!

I am now armed and ready to make pictures.

  1. Hi, I just finished watching all your great YouTube PCT videos. Please tell me…. how did Lady on a Rock make a Camera on a Stick? You definitely have that “Motion” channel thing going for you and I would really appreciate it if you could help me/your readers figure out: 1. The stick thingy. 2 How are you so successful at framing your shots? 3. I assume you are using the video feature of your LX5?? iPhone???
    Thanks Rockin

  2. Cross country skiing is so much fun and I really do miss being in the snow skiing groomed trails, which were common in Montana.

    • Definitely luxurious and new to us! We were spoiled rotten in all possible ways. Trip report is upcoming. I am anxious to get your input on the new point and shoot photos.
