June 20 – High Sierras

Crag Creek to Ridgeline below Olancha Peak
15.6 miles

I am definitely in the high Sierras now. Today I enjoyed Beck and Monanche Meadows at their prime. The meadows were vibrant, clean, and healthy. This is a very special place for a hiking friend of mine and will be good news for her. Every river, spring, and creek were flowing with cool, clear water. The views were stellar and I am now camped beneath Olancha Peak and just finished basking in alpine glow.
